Cashmere Order Payment and Delivery for Wholesale and Custom Orders

This cashmere order payment and delivery guide explains what is confirmed before payment, how production and shipping timelines differ, and which information buyers should check before an international order is dispatched.

Quick answer: the payment method, currency, payment schedule, shipping route, freight charge, Incoterm and delivery estimate should be written into the applicable quotation, proforma invoice or contract. Transaction-specific written terms take priority over general website information.

01 · Commercial record

Start with the Written Quotation or Proforma Invoice

General website information cannot describe every B2B transaction. Before payment, compare the written document with the order you intend to place.

Buyer and seller

Check the legal names, contact details, billing information and delivery address.

Products and quantities

Check style, material, colour, size, branding, packaging, quantity and any approved sample reference.

Payment terms

Check currency, total amount, selected payment method, deposit or balance milestones and payment reference.

Delivery terms

Check the shipping route, freight charge, Incoterm and named place, expected dispatch window and required documents.

Payment safety: if beneficiary details or payment instructions change, pause and verify the change through a previously confirmed business contact before sending funds.

02 · Payment workflow

How the Payment Process Should Be Recorded

The available method and schedule may differ by sample, stock and production order. Use the transaction document—not payment logos or older website copy—as the controlling record.

Confirm scopeProducts, quantity, specification, destination and order route.
Review documentQuotation, proforma invoice or contract with commercial terms.
Verify paymentBeneficiary, currency, amount, schedule and reference.
Record receiptKeep the payment record and written acknowledgement.
Start next stageStock preparation, sample work or production as agreed.

03 · Order route

Payment and Delivery Depend on the Order Type

Choose a route to see which information should be confirmed before the order moves forward.

Sample order

Confirm sample development or stock-sample status, sample charge, delivery address, shipment charge, expected dispatch window and the feedback process for the next development step.

04 · Transport planning

Choose the Shipping Route After the Order Is Defined

Destination, carton dimensions, weight, urgency, customs requirements and the agreed delivery term affect the suitable route and quoted cost.

Route Typical use Confirm in writing
Express courier Samples and smaller consignments where speed and door-to-door tracking are priorities. Carrier, chargeable weight, service level, destination details and carrier estimate.
Air freight Larger or time-sensitive consignments where courier pricing is not suitable. Airport or door service, forwarder, documentation, customs responsibility and handover plan.
Sea freight Higher-volume bulk orders where longer planning and port handling are acceptable. Port, booking type, cut-off, documents, insurance, destination charges and named delivery term.
No universal delivery promise: a carrier estimate is different from stock preparation, sample development or production time. The written order documents should show which stage each estimate covers.

05 · Timing

Separate Production Time from Carrier Transit Time

A complete delivery plan begins before the parcel reaches a carrier. Delays can occur if specifications, labels, balances, documents or destination details remain unresolved.

Before dispatch
  • Stock or production status confirmed
  • Required approvals completed
  • Final quantity and packing checked
  • Balance condition completed as agreed
  • Shipping address and contact rechecked
After carrier handover
  • Shipment reference or tracking supplied
  • Carrier estimate monitored
  • Customs requests handled by the responsible party
  • Delivery, shortage or damage evidence retained
  • Order record closed after receipt review

06 · Responsibility

Incoterms, Duties, Taxes and the Named Place

For an international B2B order, write the agreed Incoterm, its version and the named place or port into the quotation or contract. Do not rely on a three-letter term without the location.

What the delivery term should clarify
  • Who arranges the main transport
  • Where delivery and risk transfer occur
  • Which transport costs are included
  • Who handles export and import formalities
Items requiring separate confirmation
  • Import duties and taxes
  • Brokerage and destination handling
  • Insurance requirements
  • Storage, inspection or redelivery charges

External trade-term reference: see the International Chamber of Commerce Incoterms® rules. This reference does not select a term for a specific ENHE transaction.

07 · Dispatch record

Tracking and Shipping Documents

CashmereCustom provides a Track Order page for an order ID and billing email. Carrier tracking or freight-forwarder references may also be supplied for the individual shipment.

Tracking details

Keep the order reference, carrier or forwarder name, shipment reference, dispatch date and delivery contact together.

Commercial documents

Confirm which invoice, packing list, origin document or other destination-specific document is included before dispatch.

Packing record

Record carton count, carton marks, quantity breakdown, packaging method and any approved packing photos.

Receipt evidence

Keep delivery records and promptly document visible damage, shortage or label discrepancies with the relevant order reference.

08 · Direct answers

Cashmere Order Payment and Delivery Questions

Which payment method should I use?

Use only the method stated in the applicable written quotation, proforma invoice or contract. Verify the beneficiary, currency, amount and payment reference before sending funds.

When does the delivery estimate begin?

First identify whether the estimate covers stock preparation, sample development, production, packing or carrier transit. A carrier transit estimate normally begins after carrier acceptance, not when the initial enquiry is sent.

Are duties and taxes included?

That depends on the written delivery term and named place. Confirm import duties, taxes, brokerage and destination charges before approving the shipment route.

Can I track my order?

The CashmereCustom Track Order page accepts an order ID and billing email. A carrier or freight-forwarder reference may also be provided for the shipment.

Can FOB or DDP be discussed?

FOB or DDP may be discussed when operationally available. The quotation or contract must state the exact Incoterm version and named place, together with duties, taxes and destination charges that are included or excluded.

09 · Next step

Request Order-Specific Payment and Delivery Terms

Send the product type, quantity, destination country, required date, order route and available specification. ENHE Cashmere can then review the applicable quotation and shipment plan.

Prepare a clear B2B enquiry

Include your company name, product, quantity, destination, target timing, branding needs and preferred transport route if known.
