Cashmere Material Questions

Composition is only the starting point. Yarn quality, gauge, construction, weight and finishing together determine how a cashmere product feels, performs and reaches its final price position.

How should buyers compare pure cashmere, wool and cashmere blends?

100% cashmere is selected for lightweight warmth, softness and a luxury hand feel. while 100% wool usually gives firmer structure and a different price position. Blends change drape, weight, durability and cost according to their percentages and construction. Compare silk-cashmere, cashmere-wool and cotton-cashmere separately.

Why must buyers check the exact fiber percentages?

A blend name does not tell the buyer how much of each fiber is present. Exact percentages affect the product specification, care information, labeling and comparison between quotations. Confirm the composition on the product page, sample record or order specification. For US labeling requirements, consult the FTC textile and wool labeling guide.

Which cashmere materials work for lighter or warmer collections?

Warmth and season are not decided by fiber name alone. Fiber ratio, yarn count, gauge, fabric structure, garment weight and finishing work together. Silk-cashmere and cotton-cashmere can support lighter development, while pure cashmere and cashmere-wool can be planned for warmer products at suitable weights. Compare the product collection together with the material before requesting a sample.

Can ENHE develop a custom cashmere blend?

Custom development starts with the target composition, product type, hand feel, weight, color, quantity and price position. ENHE reviews yarn availability and the intended construction before confirming whether sampling and production are practical. Read the manufacturing guide or request a custom material sample.
