B2B ORDER PLANNING · MATERIAL TO SHIPMENT

Cashmere Manufacturing Guide for Wholesalers & Distributors

This guide explains the decisions a B2B buyer must confirm before a cashmere order can move from quotation to an approved sample, bulk production and shipment. Use it to compare material and yarn options, understand MOQ and cost factors, prepare a sample brief, record approvals, plan quality checks and confirm the shipping term. Project-specific prices, MOQs and dates are confirmed after the factory reviews the product, quantity, color, sizes, branding, packaging and destination. Technical review: ENHE Production Team. Step 1 · Material Selection

Choose Your Cashmere Material & Grade

Before we quote a custom cashmere order, we first check the fibre, yarn count and quality grade. These choices affect hand feel, warmth, durability, MOQ and final factory price.

For most buyers, the best material is not always the most expensive one. We look at your product type, target market and expected price range first. Then our Inner Mongolia cashmere factory recommends suitable raw material and yarn options before sampling.

  • Material composition: choose from 100% cashmere, cashmere blends, pure wool or other natural fibre blends. If you are still comparing options, review our cashmere yarn and fabric options before confirming the sample direction.
  • Cashmere micron range: finer fibres such as 14μm-16.5μm usually feel softer and are often used for premium scarves, lightweight knitwear and close-to-skin products.
  • Yarn count selection: common options such as 2Nm-26Nm create different weight, warmth, drape and knitting performance. We match yarn count to the product structure, not just the product name.
  • Certification needs: if your project needs responsible sourcing or organic textile support, buyers may refer to the GOTS organic textile standard

Factory tip: if you are not sure which material to choose, send us a reference product, target price or sample photo. We can suggest a practical cashmere grade before sample development.

MOQ & Pricing: What Affects a Cashmere Quote?

Cashmere pricing is not based on product name alone. Before we quote, our factory checks the material, product structure, quantity, color work, branding and delivery plan. Clear details help us give a more accurate MOQ, sample cost and bulk production price.

Quote Factor What It Changes Why It Matters for Buyers
Material & Grade Fibre grade, micron range, blend ratio and yarn count. Affects softness, warmth, durability and final unit price.
Gauge & Structure Knitted, woven or cut-and-sew structure, stitch density and weight. Different machines, workmanship and production time are needed.
Order Quantity MOQ, pieces per style, color quantity and total order volume. Larger quantities usually make costing and production planning more stable.
Color & Finish Pantone color, dyeing, washing, brushing, hand feel and special finish. Color work and finishing can change sample time and bulk cost.
Branding & Packaging Labels, hang tags, care labels, polybags, gift boxes and carton marks. Private label details affect both sample preparation and packing cost.
Lead Time Sampling schedule, approval time, yarn preparation and bulk production slot. Urgent orders may need different planning from regular seasonal orders.
Shipping Term Delivery country, carton size, shipping method, FOB, DDP or forwarder support. Helps estimate landed cost and delivery risk before production starts.
Factory tip: the fastest way to get an accurate cashmere quote is to send product photos, size range, quantity per color and delivery country together. If some details are not fixed yet, tell us your target market and expected price level, and we will help narrow the options before sampling.

Sample Development Process

Sampling helps confirm the design, material, size, hand feel and workmanship before bulk production. For custom cashmere orders, a clear sample stage can reduce revision cost and avoid production mistakes.

01

Share Design & Requirements

Send product photos, sketch, size range, material idea or tech pack. Usually 1-2 days.

02

Confirm Yarn & Details

We check yarn count, color, gauge, structure and label needs. Usually 1-3 days.

03

Develop Cashmere Sample

Our sample team makes the first piece for fit, hand feel and construction review. Usually 7-15 days.

04

Review & Revise

Buyer checks size, color, workmanship and packaging details. Revision may take 2-5 days.

05

Approve Sample for Bulk

After approval, we confirm MOQ, production schedule, packing method and shipping plan.

Factory tip: a reference sample or clear photo can save several days. If your design is still early, we can first suggest material, gauge and sample direction before making the first piece.
