Required methods and acceptance values depend on composition, chemistry, intended use and destination market. How is a hand-painted scarf inspected for bulk?

We compare finished size, artwork orientation, major motif position, palette, blank areas, edge, surface, label and fold with the approved master and variation standard. Each scarf is viewed open and folded; marks near a fold can look very different once packed.

Production detail: the artwork should be placed from finished reference points. If the hem or fringe changes after painting, the motif can appear off-centre even when the painter followed the original cut dimensions.
