Custom Cashmere FAQ for Wholesale, OEM and Private Label Orders
Use this page to decide whether your project belongs in ready-made wholesale supply, custom product development or private-label production—and what ENHE needs before it can confirm the order.
Choose by development level: buy an available style, adapt an existing product or develop a new specification. Quantity, price and timing follow that decision.
How to Use This Custom Cashmere FAQ
Quick answers: MOQ varies by product and order route. Samples are available after feasibility, cost and scope are confirmed. Bulk timing starts after the agreed approvals and payment milestones. Branding, packaging and delivery terms are confirmed in the written quotation.
Start with a clear answer
Each question states the working rule first, then explains which order details can change it.
Use the written quote
MOQ, price, timing, payment, delivery and included services belong in the order documents.

01 · Start here
Which Cashmere Order Route Fits Your Project?
Choose by how much development the product needs. This is more useful than treating every enquiry as the same type of “custom order.”
Wholesale supply
Start here when an existing style, colour and specification may suit your collection.
Explore wholesale cashmere →Custom development
Use this route when fit, construction, yarn, colour or details require technical review and sampling.
Review custom development →Private label
Use this route when the product is defined and your brand labels, care information or packaging must be added.
Review private label options →02 · MOQ and supply
Minimum Quantities and Product Availability
MOQ is a production condition, not one universal number. The reliable answer follows a review of the requested route and specification.
What is the MOQ for a custom cashmere order?
ENHE confirms MOQ by product and production route; a single site-wide MOQ would be inaccurate. Existing wholesale cashmere and a newly developed custom cashmere product do not necessarily have the same minimum. The quotation should state the quantity by style, colour and size.
Can I buy an existing style before developing a custom product?
Yes, if a suitable product is currently available. Send the required style, colour, composition, size and quantity, then ask ENHE to confirm stock and dispatch timing before payment. Start with the wholesale supply route.
Can different colours and sizes be combined in one order?
Possibly, but the combination must be reviewed against yarn availability, colour setup, size ratios and the production minimum for the selected style. List the quantity required for each colour and size in your enquiry.
03 · Samples and design
From Reference Material to an Approved Sample
A useful sample request defines both the product and the decision the sample is meant to support.
What can I send to start custom development?
A tech pack is useful but not the only starting point. ENHE can review a measurement sheet, sketch, clear reference images or a physical reference sample. Add the intended material, colour, size range, fit, branding and quantity. See the custom cashmere development route before submitting the brief.
Can I order a sample before bulk production?
Request a development sample before authorising bulk production. ENHE must confirm whether the sample is feasible, what it will test, its cost, delivery method and whether any amount is credited later. The sample brief should identify construction, measurements, colour, hand feel, artwork placement and packaging as applicable.
How long does sample development take?
The schedule depends on specification completeness, material availability, construction, artwork, revisions and shipping. Ask for a dated sample plan after the technical review; do not treat a general website range as the committed date for your project.
What should I review when the sample arrives?
Compare it with the agreed specification: composition, colour, measurements, fit, construction, weight or gauge where applicable, trims, label position, artwork, finishing and packaging. Record approvals and corrections in writing before bulk production.
04 · Materials and evidence
Fibres, Yarns, Colours and Quality Evidence
“Premium” is not a production specification. Define the measurable attributes and documents your order requires.
Can I specify cashmere composition, yarn and colour?
Yes, these should be part of the technical review. State the target fibre composition, yarn or fabric requirement, colour reference and finished-product purpose. Feasibility, tolerance, availability, sampling and price are then confirmed for the selected specification.
How should material or sustainability certifications be checked?
Check the certificate holder, number, scope, validity and the documents for the actual shipment. A standard’s website explains the system; it does not by itself prove that ENHE or every product is certified. Use the GOTS Certified Suppliers Database where relevant, and consult the Sustainable Fibre Alliance resources for cashmere standards context.
What quality evidence can be agreed before production?
Depending on the product, the order can define an approved sample, measurement chart and tolerances, composition or yarn specification, colour reference, workmanship checks, inspection record and required test or transaction documents. The applicable evidence must be written into the order.
05 · Private label
Brand Labels, Artwork and Packaging
Branding should be treated as a specification with artwork, materials, dimensions, placement and approval—not as a vague add-on.
Can ENHE add my brand label, hangtag or packaging?
Branding can be reviewed as part of a private-label specification. Submit each item with its dimensions, material, colour, artwork, wording, placement and packing method. The private-label cashmere page explains the route; the quotation must confirm sourcing responsibility, sampling, quantity, cost and timing. Do not assume every item is free.
What files are needed for a logo or embroidery?
Provide editable vector artwork whenever possible. Include the finished size, colour reference and exact placement. ENHE should then confirm the production method, stitch or weave limitations, sample requirement and approval standard before bulk use.
Who is responsible for trademarks and label wording?
The buyer should have the right to use supplied names, logos and artwork and should confirm the legally required fibre, care, origin and importer information for the destination market. Manufacturing feasibility does not replace the buyer’s legal review.
06 · Sizing and specifications
Measurements, Fit and Tech Packs
Body measurements, finished garment measurements and size labels are different information. Name the measurement method and intended fit.
How should I specify sweater sizing?
Provide finished garment measurements by size, point-of-measure definitions, tolerances and the intended fit. If you are building the specification, use the cashmere sweater size guide to separate body measurements from garment measurements.
Can ENHE work from a reference garment?
A reference garment can help, but identify what must be matched and what must change. Record measurements without stretching, note construction and materials, and confirm that your use of the reference does not infringe another party’s design rights.
07 · Production and approval
When Bulk Production Can Begin
A realistic production schedule starts after defined approval and commercial milestones—not when the first enquiry is sent.
What must be approved before bulk production?
Bulk production should not start until the product and commercial terms are both approved. The approval record should cover the final specification, sample or agreed reference, measurements and tolerances, colours, branding, packaging, quantities, price, payment milestone and production schedule.
How long does bulk cashmere production take?
There is no reliable universal lead time for every custom cashmere order. Material availability, dyeing, construction, quantity, size and colour mix, branding, packaging and approvals all affect the schedule. The quotation or proforma invoice should state both the committed window and the event that starts it.
Can a project be rushed?
Ask before placing the order. ENHE must check material availability, production capacity, approval time and transport options. A target date is not a commitment until the expedited scope, cost and delivery basis are confirmed in writing.
08 · Pricing and payment
What the Written Quote Should Confirm
Price only becomes comparable when both parties understand the same product, quantity, included work and delivery basis.
What information is needed for an accurate quote?
An accurate quote needs a defined product, quantity and delivery basis. Provide the material specification, sizes, colours, quantity by variant, branding, packaging, sample requirement, destination and target date. Use the custom cashmere quotation form; any missing details should be shown as assumptions.
Which payment terms apply to my order?
Use the payment method, currency, deposit or milestone, balance trigger, bank details and fee allocation stated in the current written quotation or proforma invoice. Review the Payment and Delivery guide for the website’s current process overview.
Does the website price include labels, packaging, freight, duty and tax?
Do not assume it does. Ask for a line-by-line quote showing included product work, development or sampling, branding, packaging, freight, insurance and the agreed Incoterm. Destination duties and taxes depend on the shipping arrangement and importer responsibilities.
09 · Delivery and tracking
Shipping, Customs and Order Visibility
Production completion and delivery are separate milestones. Carrier transit estimates are not the same as a guaranteed arrival date.
Which shipping methods are available?
Shipping method is selected for the specific shipment, not for the website as a whole. Parcel size, destination, service level, customs route and carrier availability matter. Confirm the carrier or forwarder, named place, Incoterm, charge, transit estimate and documents in writing. The Payment and Delivery guide explains ENHE’s order workflow.
Who pays import duty, tax and customs charges?
The named Incoterm and destination rules determine which responsibilities belong to the buyer and seller. Confirm the importer of record, declared-goods information, freight, insurance and likely destination charges before shipment. The International Chamber of Commerce is the authoritative source for Incoterms® rules.
How can I track an order?
Use the carrier reference for transit tracking and the order contact for production status. When online information is available, enter the requested details on ENHE’s Track Order page. Freight shipments may use documents or references that differ from parcel tracking.
10 · Changes and issues
Changes, Cancellation and Problem Reporting
Contact ENHE immediately. The available remedy depends on the current stage, written terms and evidence.
Can I change the specification after approval?
Request the change in writing before assuming it can be made. ENHE should confirm the effect on material, work already completed, price, timing and sample approval. A change is accepted only when both parties record the revised terms.
Can a custom order be cancelled or returned?
Custom-order cancellation and return rights should be set in the written order terms. Feasibility and charges may depend on whether materials have been purchased, branding produced or manufacturing started. Contact ENHE immediately and keep the response in writing.
What should I send if there is a quality or delivery problem?
Report it within the agreed notice period and provide the order reference, affected quantity, carton or item identifiers, clear photos or video, measurements where relevant, delivery condition and a concise description of the requested resolution. Preserve packaging and carrier records when transit damage may be involved.
