What should a cotton cashmere knitting factory specification contain?

Short answer: record the exact fibre percentages, yarn count and ply, color, gauge, stitch structure, finished dimensions, weight basis, washing and tolerances. Two yarns carrying the same general blend name can knit, recover and finish very differently.

• Blend statement: order, sample, test request and content label use the same percentages.
• Yarn construction: count, ply, twist and color reference remain tied to the approved sample.
• Knitting setup: machine, gauge and stitch program are recorded where they control repeatability.
• Finish: wash, drying, pressing and resting conditions are approved with measurements and hand.

What does a USA buyer need to confirm before labeling?

The buyer should identify the product, destination, fibre wording, care language, country-of-origin marking, importer or dealer information and any required evidence. Requirements can vary with product construction and sales channel, so the compliance brief should name the applicable rule and current method rather than rely on a generic “USA compliant” promise.

How does the factory approve bulk repeatability?

The signed reference combines composition, yarn, knit program, dimensions, weight, color, finish, labels and package. Bulk pieces are measured after the agreed conditioning period and checked for shade, stitch appearance, skew, seams or edges, hand and presentation.

Production detail: a softer wash can also change width, length and surface. We approve hand feel beside measurements, never as a separate instruction passed verbally to finishing.

Buyer decision note: tell us whether the program is yarn, fabric, accessory or finished-garment development. MOQ, sampling, test pieces and inspection points are different for each route.

Factory note: I ask for the percentage before I discuss softness. Once the blend, yarn and gauge are on paper, the sample has a fair chance of being repeated.
